A MUST DO - GRANDMA´S HOME REMEDY FOR ASTHMA, BRONCHITIS, COUGH AND COLD
Ingredients:
- 1 lb. (½ kg) red onions.
- 1 lb. (½ kg) brown sugar or crystal sugar.
- 6 cups (1,5 l) water.
- 2 lemons.
- 7 tbsp. of honey.
This is one of the oldest remedy from the kitchens of out great grand mothers. Looks so simple but has great healing powers against Asthma, Bronchitis, Cough and Cold.
How to prepare:
Pre-heat the sugar in a bowl on a moderate temperature, stirring constantly until it melts and gets red color. Then add the onion, chopped into small pieces. Cook it for some time and pour water into this bowl.
Boil the mixture until 1/3 of the water evaporates (on a moderate temperature). After that, leave the mixture to cool down and then add the lemon juice and honey. Stir well, pour the mixture in the glass jar and leave it overnight.
How to consume:
Consume 1 tablespoon of this mixture before each meal. Repeat it until your lungs get well. For children, it is recommended one teaspoon of this remedy, also before each meal.

Steam treatment: Take a hot water steam twice a day. (Take a bowl of steaming hot water and put 1 big spoon of turmeric powder in it). Inhale this steam into your lungs for atleast 10 minutes. You can add a few drops of eucalyptus oil to this water.
Chest and back rub: Buy a good quality of Till oil (Gingelly oil) and store it in a glass container. Take 2 to 3 spoons of this oil, heat it slightly along with a pinch of camphor. Garlic treatment: Eat 1 or 2 raw garlic early in the morning. If you don’t like the taste, boil 3 garlic pods in 1/4th cup of milk. Drink it once it comes to room temperature. Or crush 3 garlics and add this juice to 1/4th glass of warm water and drink it early in the morning.

Lemon treatment: Crush a piece of ginger and put it in a bowl with 1 glass of water. Boil it for 5 minutes. After it is luke warm, squeeze one lemon to it, add a pinch of black pepper powder, ½ spoon of turmeric, 1 spoon of apple cider vinegar and drink it twice a day.
Gargling: Take 1 glass of hot water and add half a spoon of salt to it. Gargle with this solution once in the morning and once in the night.
Basil treatment: Take a bottle of water and add 30 to 40 Tulsi leaves to it. Keep drinking this water throughout the day.
Turmeric treatment: Take half spoon of turmeric, add 1 or 2 spoons of honey. Mix these two together and consume it twice a day.
Herbal tea: Bowl 2 glasses of water with all the ingredients and reduce it to 1 glass. Squeeze a lemon into it, add a spoon of honey and drink it every day. (Ingredients: ½ spoon of ginger powder, a pinch of cinnamon powder, black pepper powder, some basil and pudina leaves)
Water treatment: Drink only warm water. Never consume cold water, ice water, ice creams or cold drinks.
Work it out: Do pranayama and breathing exercises to clear your lungs. You should definitely try yoga.
